This year celebrate American independence July 4-7 when the Tall Ships Festival comes to Greenport, Long Island, bringing it with it the replica of the Hermione- the French frigate used by the Marquis de Lafayette to travel to America in support of the American Revolution. A half-dozen tall ships will be available for tours beginning July 4; the Hermione will be anchored July 6 and 7.
